So I decided that very last minute I would join ASID and submit my studio project from last semester...
It was interesting to say the least and hectic but I was happy with the final outcome and I'm very excited about hearing the results when they arrive.

MADE: In America
The other project which we worked on throughout our studio semester was another competition based project which put us on the outskirts of Washington, DC in Alexandria VA at the Woodlawn Plantation. This prestigious competition was to transform a national trust property into a home of the 21st century using only American made goods, it's called MADE: In America. For this project I teamed up with Austin Loman and Sharon Frazier and you can read about our exact design intentions on the first image.
Hotel Florence Final
All semester throughout my studio we alternated between two projects, this project based in Florence, South Carolina was the primary assignment though. It's competition based and I do plan on entering, this is my project thus far. There are still some minor tweaks to be made before submittal but I wanted to go ahead and post this...

Hotel Florence
So it's been awhile since my last update but that's not without reasoning. School has been crazy busy since it begun.
Anyways, my studio this semester is looking at two projects and we are alternating between them as we go. The first project is located in Florence, South Carolina and is re-imagining this building as a boutique hotel for the downtown area. Our first assignment was to construct a haiku based upon our potential concept.
I've decided to base my design around the idea of crossroads, it seemed like an appropriate metaphor given the location and general design ideas.
