There's A First For Everything

Today I did some school shopping, considering it's my last weekend before school starts. But anyways I did some work shopping also and my job at CVS requires me to wear dress attire including a tie, so I bought myself a couple of new ones today and decided to draw one of the lucky ties.

And if anyone could help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated because I'm really curious to know what those plastic things are used for in the collars of dress shirts.
