So our last project was a continuation sort of thing dealing with our last studio project which was UNITY. This one new involved the same materials, something I'm getting quite used to... bristol board & bamboo skewers. Oh and 12 as well (same as last time). However this assignment was the create 2 separate spaces using these materials and our bristol board couldn't be cut or manipulated in anyway, with the exception of 1 fold and no more. Ultimately we were trying to achieve DIALOG within these spaces. We had to create our model, do 4 drawings which were a plan, two elevations, and a section. And lastly our parti or collage. So firstly I'd like to say my ideas changed completely from my original one I had up in my head, but I wanted to integrate my base physically into the project which I was extremely happy with as a decision, because I didn't really see it done in anyone else's. But here are my original sort of ideas.
FIRST MODEL
SECOND MODEL
I'd like to say that I enjoyed what I was doing to the base by integrating it, but the 12 pieces of bristol board is where I was drawing a blank, because I just wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with them, my third model, I went for something a bit different but didn't really like it...
THIRD MODEL
FOURTH MODEL
Now my fourth model is where I actually established some shape I was really digging, so that's what I decided to roll with for my LAST model!
FIFTH & FINAL MODEL!
Alright, now here are my draftings which I stayed at studio all night (LITERALLY) Tuesday working on, but it was good to go on ahead and get that out of the way.
FRONT ELEVATION
RIGHT ELEVATION
PLAN VIEW
SECTION VIEW
RENDERING (since there was time)
And lastly there is my parti which changed completely from my initial one.
So I think I've gave you enough to digest for now, I'm gonna blog some beginning sketches when I get a chance and probably scan in my rendering to show better detail.
THANKS!
