I Do Love Food

Alright, so Thursday Suzanne gave us our new assignment which was to go home or wherever and find 10 food items and draw them using ONLY pen. So I was a little nervous about this just like I'm sure everyone was but the hardest part for me throughout was getting my long lines as straight as I possibly could. And if they were even a little off, it bothered me so I'd try to go over them in an attempt to correct and you can probably notice in some items.

And I am not exactly sure why I put "boo ya" on one page, but I think it was because I was stoked to be done!

Two Natural Artifacts

For the first week in Environmental Design we were to find two natural artifacts and bind them with a linear object. Those were the only restrictions so for this project where I found it difficult was coming up with an idea that I personally liked, and also one that I could find the means of constructing it. The binding agent was almost the hardest part, and by that I mean the material you chose to bind your artifacts with. Originally Wednesday when we broke into groups and showed what we had came up with, I had two separate pieces of bark and they were bound together with I guess what would be a piece of fishing line or something. But I decided to change it up a bit and Rachael was saying that day to look at your model from all different angles and so that's what I tried and here's what I went with. And in my final model I'm actually pleases with how it turned out and I chose model wire because it was more durable and I could make it work in a way that I was trying to achieve.

Seeing What's Out There On The Inter-Web!

Our first assignment in Suzanne's class was to create our blogs luckly which I had already done thanks to a previous class. But we had to look over some other artists blogs and browse their digital artwork and see which appealed to us. I couldn't decide on just one but the two I would go with was Andrea Joseph's and the Wagonized blog. I really am drawn into the first one because the style of the art is something very pleasing to me, it's more a sorta style that'd I would hope to strive for. It's elaborate and looks thought out quite a bit. And the second I really enjoy because it's so delicate and the drawings are so intricate and just show how much time can be invested in something. I really think both these artists sites are completely different but they are both definitely nice and there's something inviting about the two of them.
